Updating an iPhone:

Updating your iPhone using Cellular is not an option for your model (7). The model simply does not have the builtin hardware for this. See my User Tip: Use an iPhone 12 or later, that is using 5G, in order to update over Cellular - User Tip

iOS updates are supported....IF.....you have a 5G cellular connection. Otherwise you need to use Wi-Fi or connect the iPhone to a Mac or PC to update that way.
