Can anyone tell me why my library applications support folder contains the folder log? From the apple cursed
Hi all, I lost all my chrome bookmarks. I was devastated as it was years worth. I went to the navigation as every site I could find told me too which was to go to the user> library> application support folder and find the Chrome folder only when I went there there was only a folder titled "log" and nothing else. Luckily somehow I had grabbed a copy of the bookmark.bak file but I don't know where to put it anymore without this Google folder and I can't find the file on Time Machine either. Even if I did I don't have a place to put it.
Cut to today because I've been too busy to get the run around from tech support shunning support on "third party apps", my xcel is madly crashing and to rescue the document the instructions are virtually very similar. I am supposed to navigate to the Library> application support> Office but again there is NO Office folder. There is only this "Log" folder that contains nothing but an empty "Sample" folder.
This is a brand new 2021 16" Macbook Pro Montery and it has had problems since day one. This was a replacement for years of Apple problems so to say I'm devastated is a massive understatement. I also have a bad iphone that needs replacing but I was busy waiting for my laptop to be replaced and using it. When the new computer came they could not "find" where the rep said he'd replace my phone whenever I had time since my phone also had problems long before the warranty expired. I absolutely feel Apple cursed. If someone can just start by telling me what is wrong with my application support folder and possibly how to get my bookmarks I'd be grateful. Even if I need another new computer I'd like to get my bookmarks. Thank you!
(Other problems include- Speakers crackling, programs crashing, keychain issues, having to repeatedly input devices before they are read, "Save As' dialogue box not popping up occasionally, non-responsive attempts to attach mail, extremely slow reading of an external, intermittent inability to click on the finder window. Don't even get me started about the painful sharp edge on this thing.)
