How to get rid of that little window at the bottom of the screen - like in the attached photo. It appears wherever I can enter some text, sometimes it is wider and gives me some suggestions of the words while i am typing.

The icon at bottom right of the screen allows you to easily expose the on-screen keyboard for input of special characters that cannot be accessed from the physical keyboard (e.g. emoji) - and access voice controls.
The icon may be disabled from iPad settings:
Settings > General > Keyboard > [All Keyboards] Shortcuts - set to OFF
