Time and date stamp ON photos

Can someone walk me through how to keep the date and time being imprinted one my photos taken with the camera app on an iPhone 13 Pro? I must have inadvertently turned this setting in, but I don’t see anything in Settings in the Camera app to control this.

Good afternoon Lowtide,

Can you please confirm the iOS version you are running and if you are using the native Apple Camera app and Photos app on your iPhone? Neither one of these has a date-stamp feature. When you look at the open apps on your iPhone, is there another photo app that might be affecting this? Try closing all of your open apps and restarting your iPhone. Take a picture with the Camera app, then open Photos and let us know if you see a time-stamp on the photo.

Close an app on your iPhone or iPod touch

Take care.

Apologies for not being clear but I want to make sure you understand my question.

Is there a way to keep the date and time to NOT show on the lower right hand corner of a photo? The date and time stamp appear automatically ON every photo, regardless of camera. I don't want to delete this info from Meta data. I just want to remove it from the face of the photo. This has been happening since the last iOS update.

Thank you,

Lowtide

Hello Lowtide,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We want to help you edit your photos to add a date or caption on iOS.

Since this isn't a build-in feature of iOS, you might find an app in the App Store that fits your needs. Try here:

"How to get apps

  1. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the App Store app.
  2. Browse through the Today, Games, Apps, or Arcade tabs to find apps you like. Or tap the Search tab to look for something specific. If you find a game that says Arcade, subscribe to Apple Arcade to play the game.
  3. Tap or click the price or Get button. If you see the "Open" button instead of a price or Get button, you already bought or downloaded that app."

This Apple Support page has the full details: Download apps and games on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

We welcome and encourage you to submit this feature request here: Product Feedback - Apple

We hope this helps to edit your photos.

Cheers!
