keyboard sensitivity

Running iPad Air 3 I'm having problems with the key pad I need some help

What's happing is as I'm typing the keypad will quite often mise a letter e.g. when typing this the word with appeared as wth ! It doesn't happen all the time, or with the same key but it is happening more frequently. Have you any suggestions?

My own thoughts is that the keyboard is not as sensitive as it use to be. I've looked at General - Keyboard but with the exception of Smart Punctuation everything else is turned on.

I'd appreciate your advice

Hi kah22,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help.

This page of the larger iPad User Guide may help: Save keystrokes with text replacements on iPad. Resetting the Keyboard Dictionary may be all that is required.

"Reset your personal dictionary

  1. Go to Settings  > General > Reset.
  2. Tap Reset Keyboard Dictionary.
  3. All custom words and shortcuts are deleted, and the keyboard dictionary returns to its default state."

Have a fantastic day!
