Can Apple Pages do this font layer trick? (image example attached)

I saw this design trick on Canva (the see-through font to show what's behind the letters), and now have a place I want to try it on a poster we're building. I'm pretty savvy with Pages, so doubtful it can be accomplished there. Any other ideas?
