Anyone had their phone shut off and be unable to reboot, only to display the flashing apple image when plugged in to a power source? I have been trying to restore and update it through my MacBook, but I keep getting an error message stating that my phone is corrupted and the software can't be downloaded.

It appears your phone is beyond repair. Contact Apple again for discount options on replacement cost
Thank you for providing that info!! I tried all of that with apple support though, and the issue is still ongoing. I'm not able to get past the apple logo or get in to my phone at all.
