Ear hole got wet and doesn't work well

I can't really hear when I put the phone up to my ear. I can only use my phone in speaker mode. Can the earpiece be fixed?

iPhone X stuck in earphone mode I dropped my iPhone in the toilet and get it out as fast as I could, shook the water out, dried with a lint free cloth and ran the water eject function. Everything was fine until the next day after letting it dry it was in earphone mode, I tried using a q-tip, shaking, and just letting it dry more. I googled it and it said to plug in earphones but I am a wireless user and don’t know what to do. Any advice?

If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker - Apple Support
