iPhone X stuck in earphone mode

I dropped my iPhone in the toilet and get it out as fast as I could, shook the water out, dried with a lint free cloth and ran the water eject function. Everything was fine until the next day after letting it dry it was in earphone mode, I tried using a q-tip, shaking, and just letting it dry more. I googled it and it said to plug in earphones but I am a wireless user and don’t know what to do. Any advice?

iPhone 6, iOS 12

Water Eject is s function of Apple Watch. Any third party phone app using that name is basically useless, If your phone got wet inside, as one in a thousand might, it is probably ruined.

Take or send the phone to Apple for assessment

Alternatively you can check for water ingress at the one place you can access yourself, ie inside the SIM tray cavity. Look for a red patch.
