@Chattanoogan, thank you. My sister was having issues with her cell connection including not a good connection to her Wi-Fi. They check everything, I suggested it may be her phone. She had an older model iPhone. She replaced with a new on only to have the same issue. She returned to her provider & they said her SIM card was very outdated. They provided a new one free if charged and she no longer has this issue. 😜

Good to hear.

SIMs have generally been interchangeable “least-common-denominator” elements when upgrading devices for quite a while, but the newer data services available on the newer phones has changed that somewhat.

Yet another reason why eSIMs will likely become ubiquitous before too much longer.

Simply contact your carrier.

Make sure they know your phone’s model and request provisioning to access to any 5G service to which you might be eligible.
