What is the best will depend on the person asking - what do they need, what is their budget etc etc.

Many people swear by lightroom (monthly subscription) which I think can import from apertuere.

Others:

OnOne

Luminar

Affinity

Capture One

Mylio

Etc. You are going to have to evaluate and decide which meets your needs most.
