Upgrade from high sierra to Mojave - App store only offers OS10.14.6 but then gives error message because 10.14 not installed first

This is a follow on from issues posted in Feb 2021 - sorry, but clearly apple haven't sorted it out!

I need to upgrade to Mojave (not Catalina or beyond due to 16-bit software/My device age) - and the App Store only has links to the last version of Mojave. Even the links in the advice page (linked) work best with safari ...

There is only One Full Version of Mojave which is macOS 10.14.6

Anything else is only a Update version for Security Updates and are Not Full Installer of Mojave

How to get old versions of macOS and verify what version this computer Qualifies to install.  For Best results use Safari to commence the download as Others may not work.

Safari will open a redirect and open the Apple Store where the download can commence.
