Can't delete a file!

Hi. i download macOs sierra and move it to my desktop. now when i want delete installation file and empty trash, it say "be sure is not lock and have permission to delete it". file is not lock and i have permission to read and write it. how i can delete it?

Is it still running? The installers will start running as soon as the download completes. If it is still running it won’t let you delete it. However, I think the error message would have stated that.

Try holding down Option key when emptying the Trash. That allows you to delete locked files.
