Messages spellcheck

In messages, if a word is misspelled, it will be underlined with the red squiggle, but when right clicked the correct spelling will not be offered. Any suggestions? Been like this for a while.

Autocorrect happens when hitting send in iMessage When I am texting, all of the correct words and spelling of the words are in the text box. However once I hit send, I’ve noticed that words will be missing or misspelled. I thought it was just me moving to fast but I’ve been texting that theory for two weeks and that’s not the case. Information is some how been removed or changed during the submission process. How can I fix this? Someone has asked this question before but it is definitely a bug in the iMessage or keyboard user experience. Please do not suggest any article unless it specifically allows disabling of autocorrect when hitting “send” in iMessage. this needs a feature flag in the typing preferences

Predictive Text Suggests Nonsense or Words I’ve Never Used Sometimes when I am typing into a text or Safari etc., predictive text will suggest words that aren’t even words. I haven’t used those words in accident before, or even been sent to me by someone else. I have not looked them up on the internet or any of the things that predictive text is supposed to be based on. Sometimes when I have entered a word, it suggests a misspelling of the word which is even worse because if I see the suggestion and I assume that I have spelled the word incorrectly I accidentally change it to the wrong spelling. Why would it even suggest a misspelling when I entered it correctly? I like using predictive text because it will correct words that I didn’t notice I entered incorrectly. But, the issue I am describing is incredibly frustrating and sometimes confusing. When will this issue be fixed? Please don’t reply to tell me that I need to reset my dictionaries or languages, or that it’s based on my use. I have already been through those suggested solutions and they don’t work. Also, please do not reply with instructions to turn off predictive text. That is not a solution to predictive text not behaving usefully or correctly. If anyone else knows a solution please post it. Thank you.

I guess I was not clear enough. The problem is not that the word is not in the dictionary, or that the misspelling is so far off it can’t tell what I am trying to spell. Or that I am new to Macs and don’t know how they are supposed to work. An example of what I am trying to describe: if I type the letters ‘seperate’, it will give me the squiggle, but will not have any suggestions for how to properly spell ‘separate’. No matter the word, no matter how close or far I am from a correct spelling, it NEVER has a suggestion for how to correct the word indicated as misspelled with the squiggle.

That would indicate it doesn’t know the correct spelling. It can’t figure out what you were trying to spell. All it can determine is what you have cobbled together is not in its dictionary.
