change password on locked Note

I have a locked NOTE. I know the original password for that Note but I would like to change the password. How is that accomplished on my Macbook Air?

Old notes lock on Mac I put a lock on a note and forgot the password. When I tried to change it, my mac told me to update first. After I updated and then tried to change the lock it allowed me to change the password but when I put in the new password on the old note it didn't unlock the note and told me that it is incorrect. I tried to remove the password for good and still the note was locked and would not unluck for any password, not my iCloud one, MacBook login password, or the custom note password. Why is nothing removing this lock?

I don't remember the password of a locked note Is there anyway around this? I can’t get into that Locked note! This is so frustrating !! Apple new update options for old locked notes reset passwords! [Re-titled by Moderator]

Note password can some one figure out how to reset the notes password for old notes? Apple isnt much help with this issue, considering how many times this question has been asked
