Stuck in boot loop

Hi all,

My son has a 6th gen iPad which he uses frequently. Yesterday mid game, it restarted and got stuck in a boot loop - so the Apple log coming on for a few seconds and then going black again. We tried to hard reset, but nothing happened. Tried to plug it in to iTunes and restore, but got stuck again and nothing happened. We tried to run it down over night to start again this morning, but as soon as it had some charge in it it started looping again.

Any ideas to fix? Could visiting an Apple genius help?
