No USB Type-C signal MacBook Pro M1 with Monitor Dell U2722DE

Yesterday I come back home and turn on my Mac and my monitor was not 'connecting' with "No USB Type-C signal" message.

Like the Mac was turned off. So weird because it's always on and charging with USB-C.

Open the lid and login to the Mac and notice an update, "Oh! it's something at the Mac"… restarted and after OS update same error "… No signal".

Turn the Mac and monitor off multiple times and nothing, changed the USB cord, connected HDMI (with adapter). I was not able to understand or get it fix…

After browsing a while at reedit found the solution. Unplug and plug in the monitor after 5 minutes.

Unbelievable. I can't believe it was that, I hope this help others.

Cheers!

Hey, thanks for the reply.

you are right, but in this case; the monitor was like on stale mode for USB connection status.

When I said; Unplug and plug in the monitor after 5 minutes. >> I was talking about the power cord.

What seems it's happening it's even you shut down the monitor (power button) seems the USB port status stays the same way (like sleep mode), but when you disconnect the power cord; the monitor shuts down completely, deleting the USB port connectivity...
