Keynote 11.1 animation question

OK

I need to have 4 or so shapes with different colors background

blinking every 0.10

One on slide for now.

SO let's say red, blue , yellow, green blinking

NOW

WHILE the shapes are blinking can I animate text OVER the blinking shapes?

I'm only able to create the shapes blinking in the build order but the blinking stops when I add text in-between, can't find a way to do this.

Can I group the blinking shapes and have then run underneath????

Any help?
