Microsoft word won’t open.
I click on the Word icon and it just disappears. Updated to Monterey 12.5.1 right before I had this problem, not sure if that may have induced this.
Thank you

Please try to launch Word from the Applications folder. If that works, then it's likely a corrupt shortcut icon. As you don't indicate where the icon you are clicking is located (Dock, Desktop, etc...) that particular shortcut may be corrupt and may need to be re-added.
What version of Office? Any version less that 2019, or a fully updated version of 2016, will not run on any macOS newer than Mojave 10.14. It took MS a long tome to react to Apple's change to all 64-bit coding.
Try using Spotlight (the magnifying glass in the upper right of the screen or the Spotlight keyboard shortcut is Command + Spacebar) and type Word and see if it is located.
Also, by chance do you have any third party antivirus or cleaning apps or VPN apps installed??
Hey guys,
I reinstalled Microsoft 365 and it’s working now. Thanks for your help 👍
It’s in the launchpad. I’ll try applications folder.
Hi Allan,
It’s a 24 inch Monterey. I subscribe to office 365.
That’s interesting. It’s not in the application folder.
