How do you report a number as a fake or as junk on your iPhone?

I've been getting lots of texts from unknown numbers and they have fake google numbers for scamming. Some of them don't have the option to "report junk" so I wanted to know if there is a way to do this rather than solely blocking the number?

When you swipe to delete the conversation from the list on your device, it should ask you if you want to Report Junk (assuming the sender is not in your contacts) even if the option doesn't appear below the initial text.

Not much you can do until someone reigns in US-based phone providers who happily let anyone use their services. US federal "do not call" lists seem useless.

Some states Attorneys' General Offices have a web page for filing complaints about scam phone numbers. Example:

https://www.ag.idaho.gov/consumer-protection/do-not-call/

The problem is that those reporting sites were set up when scammers reused the same numbers over and over. Today they seem to have an endless supply of random numbers.
