Apple Pay charging old CANCELLED credit card resulting in decline every time.

As the topic articulates, my old credit card number was discontinued due to a lost card. I have a new card with a new number. I have done all the necessary steps: e.g., signed out of my Apple ID, deleted the card (over 24 times) and tried to re-add it, etc. And each time the charge is declined. It works after I try twice for purchases being made locally on my device e.g., UBER. But, when I’m person, tapping on an external POS, it is declined every time (and I’ve tried four or five times on one single device to no avail.) When I call my bank they say it is because the charge is being billed to the OLD card number. I don’t know what to do? Any advice?

  1. Go to iCloud.com and then go to account settings. Select the device in questions and choose to remove Apple Pay.
  2. Have the bank reset the certificates/tokens for the new card and check for any restrictions.
  3. Go to Settings>Wallet & Apple Pay>tap on the old card if it is there and then select remove card.
  4. Sign out of your Apple ID.
  5. Restart your device
  6. Sign back into your Apple ID
  7. Add NEW card.
