What happens if I change my @iCloud.com to an @yahoo.com?

Good day. My question it’s about Apple ID. I use an email from Apple called I*****@icloud.com and this is my Apple ID and iCloud account. I think to change my email with an email from yahoo and I want to know what will happen with this email @icloud.com? Can I reuse it to create a new account once I change it with a new email from yahoo provider? Because I know that Apple doesn’t recycle @icloud.com email usernames once they are deleted like when you delete the whole account. If I want to create a new email @icloud.com I may be able to use the previous username? Thank you!

If you replace the iCloud email address with a Yahoo email address, you are changing the email address associated with your Apple ID. The iCloud email address remains attached to your Apple ID. You can't create a new Apple ID using that iCloud email address.

You can change your existing Apple ID email address back to the iCloud address in 30 days. You can't create a new, different Apple ID using the iCloud address.
