I flash device not working

Hi there…i tried to have external storage for my iphone but it says my i-flash device is offline…how do i get it to work so that i can transfer my photos to the device i currently purchased ?

iPhone 13 Pro, iOS 15

Note the formatting requirements listed there.

What sort of new device are you migrating to? Another iPhone or iPad? If so, migration is probably easier.
