I work for AT&T and I have a co-worker that all 3 of his children can log into phone with facial recognition

I work for AT&T and I have a co-worker that all 3 of his children can log into the same phone with facial recognition. HOW CAN THIS BE SECURE? Just to clarify, one of his children has an iphone with facial recognition and his other 2 children can unlock her phone with their face. They are not twins.

"…The statistical probability is different for twins and siblings that look like you and among children under the age of 13, because their distinct facial features may not have fully developed. If you're concerned about this, we recommend using a passcode to authenticate."

In addition to what shoeluvr13 provided, which is correct, the children could have set themselves up in FaceID when the parent wasn't watching the phone. An iPhone can support multiple alternate FaceID users and it's quite easy to do.

The bottom line is an iPhone is not a multi-user device. In someone else's hands, settings can be changed. If the parent doesn't want the children to be able to log into the phone, they can turn off FaceID and ONLY use a Passcode, which they should NEVER share with the children.
