Moving Final Cut Pro to a new Mac

I use Final Cut Pro X (version 10.5.2) on my old Mac Book Pro 13" from 2015 (with Intel).

I want to install it on my new Mac Book Pro 14" 2021 (with Apple M1 Pro).

Do I have to upgrade to a new version of Final Cut Pro - or can I use the same?

What OS are you using on the older mac?

You should use the current version, 10.6.4, on both macs, if you run Big Sur or Monterey, which your mac supports.

A library created in the newer version will not work in the old one.

OK - thanks for answering Luis Sequeria ! I am using Monterey on the new one and Catalina on the old one. So if I want to use Final Cut on both mac it is better to have the same version of Final Cut on both. And you recommend I use the current version. Do you know if there is a possibility to upgrade?
