Email fetch disabled after iOS 15.6.1 update

After the automatic iOS 15.6.1 update last night, neither my Mail or Gmail fetch is working. Have done a hard reboot of the iPhone as well as deleting and reinstalling Mail but no change. WiFi service fine. Have not deleted and reinstalled email accounts. Would like exhaust all options before doing such. Any ideas?

SravanKrA, thanks for your reply. This is my personal iPhone and I do not have any profile installed beyond my personal profile.

An update since my original post. I changed my Gmail password just to see if that might have any impact and it did! My Gmail fetch is now working and emails are coming through. I have yet to change my Mail password as I have to recover it but hopefully that will fix my Mail fetch issue.

Whai I don’t understand is why both my wife and I did the iOS 15.6.1 update, we both have the same iPhone yet she didn’t have the same email fetch issues.

  1. Is this your corporate iPhone? Then please contact the system administrator of your corporate
  2. If it is your personal device, in that case, do you have any profile installed by your corporate/organisation/enterprise/School Management?
    1. Erase the profile added by you If you have installed a profile on your own --> Install or remove configuration profiles on iPhone - Apple ...
    2. Or please contact the system administrator of the organisation who provided the profile to you

Watch the GIF below

Google, AOL, Yahoo - Only Fetch mail Option is available

iCloud, Exchange, Outlook - Both Fetch and Push Mail option is available

  1. Push Mail: Whenever possible the email client will push emails to all your devices.
  2. Fetch Mail: You need to set How you want it to be fetched, Automatically, Manually, Hourly, Every 30 mins, every 15 mins
    1. Automatically: will fetch when the iPhone is powered and on WiFi
    2. Manually: with fetch when you open email, open Inbox and swipe down
    3. You get an email notification as soon as the client-server receives an email and your device is connected to the internet, irrespective of whether the mail is in your device's Inbox or not
