iOS 15.6.1 sim issues

After updating to 15.6.1, I received an error regarding my sim. After several reboots and removing and replacing the sim, I received similar errors. “SIM failure” and “No SIM Card Installed”. After one reboot, and waiting a few minutes, the SIM started working - the correct carrier was listed and I was able to place a call. After another reboot, the SIM failures returned, and I cannot place calls. Any other ideas?

Reading the troubleshooting steps you already performed (to no avail), I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
