1st Gen Apple TV stuck on Airplay mode

Hi everyone!

As the title implies I have a first gen Apple TV, that I haven’t used in a while because about two years ago, during a move, I plugged the Apple TV back in at the new place but when it came on the tv monitor it only had the airplay option and no way to exit from that mode with the remote. It still works in that I can still airplay off my phone but I can no longer access the actual Apple TV interface. No access to apps, settings, nothing.

Things I’ve tried:

Connecting to Ethernet cable

manual restart/reset

Switching TVs

Please help 🥲
