CD Music Downloads

Upon completion of downloading latest CatalinaOS security my downloads of CD's into my music library going directly into TRASH. Didn't do that before the update. What's going on?

MacOS Catalina 10.15.7 Music Files Just updated with the latest security. Before the update, was downloading some old CD's into my music library (SONOS library & Apple). Now, after update, the downloads are going directly into the trash. I'm seeing the downloads also in Apple Music and no longer in my SONOS library - in the trash. What happened? Is there any way for me to get back to where I was before the update? Thanks.

Music disappeared from Music app on desktop I just noticed all the songs from an album consisting of 4 CDs that I ripped on this Mac Studio 6 months ago have disappeared from the Music app library. When I search in Music app by the name of the artist or the name of the album, the songs do not show up, but when I look on the computer, in that artists folder in my music library, I see all four folders of songs, 47 different files, so they are still there. I have no idea if Music has lost other music, until I find another instance of it. Any ideas why this happened, and may still be happening? Any way to find “missing” songs that Music has deleted? Music app 1.4.6.32, Mac Studio Sonoma 14.6.1.

Is there a way to disable automatic cd import in Music on a Macbook Air running Sonoma? I'm importing cd's to Music on my MacBook Air (Sonoma), but I like to edit the metadata before importing the cd/album. Music keeps automatically importing the cd, and I have to remember to "stop importing" before I start editing the metadata. It's not a serious issue, but it's annoying, and it never happened in iTunes on my previous Mac. Thanks.

What are you calling downloads?

Download is typically what happens when you grab a file off the internet, not CD.

If this music you converted to MP3 with iTunes or is accessible from the Finder conversion to MP3, it is possible it was moved by accident.

Follow up- I was able to link my iTunes music file to SONOS. Problem solved! Thank you!
