how to merge two workout data sources?

I am regularly working out with machines that don’t provide Apple health (Apple Watch) support, but they have their own app that allows to get data then recorded in Apple health. So what I do, to track heart beat, is to start the workout on my my Apple Watch while I perform the workout.

But result is that I then have two workout sessions, instead of one, which is completely faulting my health data.

How to solve this?

Apple Watch Series 4, watchOS 8

Hi sportbilly78,

We're happy to provide some assistance.

While you cannot merge workout data from two different sources, you can calibrate your Apple Watch to improve the accuracy of your distance, pace, and calorie measurements by following the steps in the link below.

Calibrating your Apple Watch for improved Workout and Activity accuracy

To perform the troubleshooting actions recommended by the article above, please read through and complete the steps in the section titled "Calibrate your Apple Watch.

We recommend these steps because calibrating your watch can help it learn your fitness level and stride, which improves accuracy.
