How to prevent pocket calls on iphone 12 that is fully updated

1. Go to Settings/Face ID & Passcode and turn off Raise to Wake
2. Carry the phone with the screen away from your body

Item 2 sounds counterintuitive, but when the screen is away from your body it can’t be “butt dialed”, and, in addition, it is more important to protect the back of the phone than the front. A screen can be replaced, but if the back breaks the phone must be replaced.
