Google Meet Network Connection Error

So I use Safari on my iMac instead of Google Chrome because it gave me less headaches but I notice that I am always getting Network Connection errors and have to keep reloading GOOGLE MEET when I am invited into a meeting. I never have connection problems with Zoom or Teams. Is this because of Safari? Anyone have any solutions?

FYI I'm on Monterey 12.5 Could that have anything to do with it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi rollin06,

As you are receiving an connection error when using Google Meet, depending on how you are accessing it, here are some troubleshooting and isolation steps you can follow:

1. Web:

  • If you are using the Chrome web browser to connect to Google Meet, it would not have anything to do with Safari.
  • Try the other browser, if you are using Safari, try Chrome. If you are using Chrome, try Safari. This will help let you know if it's the cause of a particular browser.
  • If it happens on both browsers, it's not the cause of either browser.
  • If you are using the app and not a web browser, it would not be the case of either web browser.

2. If it's not related to a web browser:

3. If nothing stands out from the network:

Take care.
