Purple Spot on McBook Pro screen

This purple spot appear out of nowhere. It's only visible in dark colored screens and only "goes away" when the laptop is off. What could it be and how can I fixed it? I've only had this laptop for one year.

That is most assuredly a hardware issue with the LCD screen on your MacBook Pro. It would be recommended to schedule an appointment at your Apple Store Genius Bar for evaluation and options.
