Apple Keyboard Folio stopped being magnetic on one side

I don’t know if its the keyboard or the IPad Pro, but one side of my folio stopped being magnetic and is floating, not connecting precisely and it causes the iPad to disconnect from the folio when I lift it, also the constant lodging and clapping when I write something is annoying…

I have seen a lot of people write about such an issue in connection to loss of polarity of magnets in the iPad, or something like that, I was wondering if an airport security control could have caused the issue and break the magnets somehow.. Because I do not have any other explanation for this problem, I have gone through airport security 4 times before the issue occurred, I don’t remember the issue being there before.

Any thoughts?

While magnets can loose their effectiveness - or be demagnetised by an external magnetic field - this is perhaps unusual.

For all practical purposes, if the magnets have failed, the only solution is replacement of the folio keyboard. Before committing to replacement, you would be well advised to visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to assess your iPad and folio keyboard - and you’ll be able to explore any applicable warranty provisions:
