When my iPhone is on locked screen I get a notification that says “phone notification” what does this mean? I get missed call and message notifications. So what does phone notification mean?

I will not get alert sounds of notifications like text messages, twitter, Instagram, etc. I tried contacting apple support via a callback, but the agent I spoke to was very unhelpful. She has me reset my settings, and then after my phone reset, I never got a returned call. It didn’t help much. I don’t think turning summary settings on will help much. is this happening to anyone else after they updated to iOS 17.1.1? How can I resolve this? It’s a strange bug.

iPhone notifications Hi I just updated to iOS 16 and have a brand new iPhone 14 and in doing so I no longer get notifications when my phone is locked. I looked up help online and the only thing that seemingly worked was resetting my phone but in less than 5 hours it’s already back to having the same issue. When will this be fixed? There’s no point to having a phone if I can’t communicate with it properly

When my iPhone 12 is locked I do not get a notification for a new text message. But when the phone is unlocked I get a notification. How do I fix this? Why do I not get an audible or vibrating notification for incoming text messages when my iPhone 12 is locked?

Which iPhone do you have and which iOS version is listed in Settings > General > About, next to Software Version? Also, feel free to post a photo of the notification so we can take a closer look.
