To ensure you have the correct web address to use in Keynote
Open your Safari browser and search for the website.
When you have confirmed it is correct, copy the address from the Safari address bar and paste in to the hyperlink text entry box in Keynote.
What filetype are you exporting to?
Keynote can export to PDF, PowerPoint, Movie animatedGIF, Images, HTML, and Keynote 09
However, Hyperlinks do not work with movie, animated GIF or Image files.
Hyperlinks will work successfully when exporting from Keynote to: PowerPoint, PDF and HTML
Don't use Chrome, its not a suitable application for use with Keynote, use the built Safari web browser for web.
When I click on the link in the keynote it does take me to the webpage, it's when I export. However, when I export it to a PDF the slide hyperlinks still work. I am creating a digital planner. I hope this additional information will;l help.
I used Safari and verified the address and copy and pasted it and still the hyperlink does not do anything after I export. I did try adding the link via shape and also in the text box as well. I am at a loss???
OK you said that the links work when exported to PDF, so PDF files are not the problem.
However, when I export it to a PDF the slide hyperlinks still work
So what exported filetype does not work, keeping in mind that only PowerPoint, PDF and HTML supports the use of hyperlinks.?
Are you entering the full website address such as: www.apple.com
yes. http first?
I was using Chrome, maybe that is the issue?
I think the PDF works, I haven't checked. I copied and pasted the link from safari but it isn't my default browser...
So I checked and it is when the PDF goes into Notability.
Hyperlinks don't work in Notability
Only use Adobe Reader or Preview applications for PDF files
