Mac Mail drafts not working properly with my Gmail account
When I hit Save on a message I'm still drafting and close it, the draft message does not go to the Draft folder that shows up on the left panel. I can only find it by going to "All Mail" for that account. It used to go to the Drafts folder properly, but somehow I lost the setting for it. In Mailbox Behaviors under Preferences, I am offered a Draft mailbox destination that reads "Gmail/\Drafts" instead of "Gmail/Drafts". I wonder if the additional backslash is the problem. The other Draft mailbox options it offers (a mailbox called "Drafts" as well as "Drafts on My Mac"all have the same behaviors - they don't save to any Draft folder and the can only be retrieved by going to "All Mail".
Some additional information: I have 4 different Gmail accounts (one for personal use, one for work, and 2 for non-profits I'm involved with). I use Mac Mail to send and receive emails from and to all 4 accounts. All have been set up as IMAP accounts. The other 3 accounts offer "Gmail/Drafts" as as draft mailbox option and they work correctly. Why would this particular mail account, which happens to be my default account, have different options? I am attaching screenshots of the Mailbox Behaviors options for this account and one of the others.
It's driving me crazy - why would this particular account have different preferences? I'm on Monterey 12.5.1.
