Desktop colors show through Apple Mail
If I have a browser open with, say red coloring, the red is visible in Apple Mail on the far left side where inbox, etc. are. Is it possible to turn that feature off?

If the transparency bleed through is making your nuts, use System Preferences > Accessibility > Display = Reduce Transparency. This will remove transparency on all windows, including the menu bar and the dock.

Hi Picas, that made no difference. P. Phillips, here is Mail with chrome open under it displaying a red tinted webpage. The left of mail takes on that hue.
Sorry but having issues picturing what this appear like on your screen.
Can you give us a Screen Shot of what this looks like ?
Go to System Preferences > General, deselect "Allow wallpaper tinting in windows" and see if it makes any difference.
