How do I configure Keychain Password Generator to NOT use "-" (Dash) or use another special character?

Current versions of iOS/iPadOS Keychain Password generator do not provide a mechanism by which the format of an automatically generated password can be configured. At present, it is necessary to either:
a) generate and then manually edit the password entry from within the Keychain (i.e., Settings > Passwords)
b) use an external password generator App - or Shortcut - to create the password
Many users encounter situations whereby a website (or App) will mandate specific password complexity - to include or exclude specific classes of characters. At present, meeting this requirement is not natively supported by iOS/iPadOS - making straightforward/automatic generation of random passwords problematic.
Some changes to the native iOS/iPadOS Password Generator are understood to be under consideration for a future version (potentially permitting the format of automatically generated passwords to include or exclude certain special and other characters), although whether or not this feature is eventually incorporated will not be known until (or if) it is released.
