Hello everybody. I’ contemplating buying an iMac m1 to replace my aging and unsupported iMac intel 27 from 2014 (if I’m not mistaking) A question are the News iMac m1 capable of USB 3.2 Gen 2x2? Thanking you in advance. Arnaud

The new iMac supports (up to 40Gb/s) from the Thunderbolt/USB 4 ports.
Do you already have a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20Gb/s) external SSD?
If so, what brand and model is it?
If not, then I would suggest getting a Thunderbolt SSD.
Gen 2 speeds will be lower than on any Mac Intel. This is known issue so if you need max speeds use TB drive
