Mac Calendar - how to add Outlook.com account?

I use Outlook.com for my email and calendar. On my iPhone, I can have this Outlook account sync with my iPhone Calendar app.

But I don't seem to be able to do this on my Macbook Calendar app? Can someone help?

Add your account to Internet Accounts system preferences and check the box for Calendars.

You might try setting up the account as an Exchange account, but it will still be different. Microsoft created an efficient mobile device sync service called Exchange Active Sync, but they won’t allow it to be used on Desktop OSes. That is still relegated to using Exchange Web Services (EWS) which never worked well.

Apparently, Microsoft doesn’t support EWS for Outlook.com.
