Notes app popping up

I've been having the notes app doing this weird semi-pop-up in the lower right corner of my MacBook pro. It's been going on for a while. I would say maybe a year or so, but I can't be certain. It only happens when my mouse goes in the lower right corner of the screen, and it does this weird small pop-up, but doesn't fully open it up. I've learned to deal with it, but it is becoming very annoying and I can't seem to find a way to prevent it from happening. So wondering if there is a work around I haven't found yet that might stop it from happening every time my mouse goes in that corner.
