Installation of Pro Video Formats failed with the message "you need to be an owner"

What is the meaning of this?

I'm trying to install the Pro Video Formats on a system. My Apple ID is logged in.

A little more information would be really useful, because this is complete BS. The system software is the worst it has been in years, and it's just getting worse.

Thank you for these Kurt. They refer specifically to system installation problems, which I have been having, not to a software installation like Final Cut Pro Additional Contents. I'll study them to see if I can find a solution. It would be really helpful if when Apple puts up these cryptic error messages that there would be a link to where more information could be found. I've spend two days with new error, never before seen, by me, messages with no guidance at all.
