Today, Pages won't open SOME Word docs that it used to open yesterday.

I installed Spectrum Internet a week ago
I installed Monterey two days ago.
Pages used to open Word docs. As of today 8/25, pages won't open SOME word docs that it used to open before.
The Word docs are created on the PC where I work. Then, I work on them at home on my Mac.
I wonder if it's a glitch on Word in my office computer.
I wonder if it's the size of the file.
I wonder if Spectrum or Monterey is contributing (I don't think so)
