Should the subscription fee will be auto-renewal when the previous apple id suddenly inactive

Should the subscription fee will be auto-renewal when the previous apple id suddenly inactive. Did I need to contact apple support to stop the auto-renewal for the subscription fee or just let it goes due to the apple id already inactive.
