My update has paused and I can't restart it, any suggestions?

I had poor reception when I first tried to download the update. The issue is resolved( by taking my devices to another location) but its still paused and I have no option to restart. Is there a way I can get things moving, or is my only option to wait things out?

As described, the update process has likely stalled. Perform a forced-restart of your iPad - and then repeat the update:

  • On an iPad with a Home button: Press and hold the top button and the Home button at the same time. When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.
  • On other iPad models: Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
