How do I turn off auto capture on my dad's IPhone 6s?

To my understanding, there is no setting for that. That must be a setting in the bank's app. Check back with them.

When my dad tries to use his banking app to deposit checks, his phone automatically takes the picture--and at times the deposit is rejected by the bank as the photo quality wasn't good. It's happened a few times. The bank emailed him to turn off auto capture on his phone and take the photo manually. I've looked everywhere to how to turn that feature of the camera off and couldn't find anything.
Auto capture what? Please explain.
