Myy iphone 11 won't connect to carplay in my 2021 Honda Insight

My IPhone 11, with IOS 15.6.1 has stopped connecting to CarPlay in my 2021 Honda Insight. When I plug it in I get a message on the car's screen that says it is unable to connect to my IPhone and I should check the USB connection. The phone is charging so I assume the cable is connected and other phones successfully connect when plugged in. I have tried deleting and reinstalling the phone and the same thing happens.
