Apple TV YouTube app crashing only on certain user's videos

Hello,

My Gen4 AppleTV 4K (tvOS 15.6) works great normally, but when I use the YouTube app, especially from a certain channel (pretty long videos up to 1.5 hours), the unit soft-resets.

The white light remains on, but the TV screen (Vizio) goes black, with a flicker of static and then goes back to the video. Once it happens, it happens quite frequently.

One workaround I found was to reset the unit and then it doesn't happen for some time, but I would like a more permanent solution.

This doesn't happen in any other app.

Hello PilotYoav,

If you're having issues with a 3rd party application you can try uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Delete an app

Select the app you want to delete, then press and hold the clickpad center (second-generation Siri Remote) or touch surface (first-generation Siri Remote) until the app starts to jiggle.

Press the Play/Pause button for more options, then choose Delete.

Customize the Apple TV Home Screen

If the application is still not working properly, then you'd want to contact the app developer to report the issues you're having.
