What to do when apple asks you for the date of purchase of the apple pencil 2nd gen in order to view your warranty details? I currently bought one but I'm not being able to check if it is refurbished or new.

To check warranty status, you will need to find the serial number. It can be found on the original packaging if you still have that. Or try this: make sure your pencil is on your iPad and charging. Then, on the iPad, select Settings > General > About > Apple Pencil. The serial number will appear there.
